I am drawn to make functional ceramics.  I am fascinated by the ‘life’ of a
pot, the role it will play in our domestic daily routine.  The daily interaction
between the piece and the user motivates my making, as well as the
ingenuity I am able to give as a creator to the user’s domestic space.
Although the work speaks a unique voice reflective of my personal interest
and aesthetic decision, they are comfortable for use.

The work is a play with the contradiction of elegance and the rawness of the
material; Inspired from conventionally refined historic forms but crudely
created.  The overall character of the work is a playful conversation
between the crude, raw nature of ceramic process and the elegance of quiet
bulbous forms.  The pots are elegant and refined yet speak to the evidence
of human touch, gesture of movement and the destructive nature of the fire.
